So proud of himself........
Last week was a crazy but very good week. Our basement is 95% done (pictures will be coming soon) and we LOVE it. We had Thanksgiving with most of the Wilson Clan (Cristi - we missed you guys) and that was lots of fun. Yummy food and game and card playing well into the wee hours of the morning. Saturday we had JT's 1st birthday party here. Carrie did such an awesome job with all the decor for the Duckie themed party. It was awesome. Saturday night Rick bought a new Christmas tree and put it up. We just need to decorate it and get all the other stuff out. Jacob LOVES the tree and seems surprised all over again each time he sees it. He is going to love Christmas. I can't wait.
Lydia is 5 mo old today. I can't believe it. She's doing great. So darn cute.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RICK tomorrow!!!!! 35 - Yikes!

Loud Lydia!
Here's my first attempt at putting a video from my camera on here. Hope it works! This is Lydia last night "talking" to Rick and I. We (esp. Rick!) sound like idiots, but she sounds adorable. She IS adorable, isn't she?
Basment is almost done. We get the carpet on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so stinkin' excited I can't stand it. I will post before and after pictures once I get it organized the way I want it. :-) We also found out that thanks to the wind storm in September we are getting a new roof. They start on the roof tomorrow!! So the noise from the basement is gone (all they are doing now is painting) and now I get the noise from the roof. I keep telling myself that by Tuesday it will all be done. Next week should be a fun and crazy one with the finishing of the basement, then we are having the Wilson's over for Thanksgiving (NO I am NOT cooking a turkey - Rick's Mom is), and then Saturday is JT's first bday party here at the house. Madness, but so much fun!

I feel old......
Rick and I have also decided to finish the basement. We've been thinking about it since the day we looked at this house and thought we may as well just do it now. The contractors are starting Wed and will be done by Thanksgiving. In the meantime it's going to drive me nuts to have these guys in my house for weeks, but hopefully totally worth it.
Here is what my week with the kids looked like........
Mr. Jacob has been cranky all week. Who knows why. He seems to get really frustrated when I can't figure out what he wants. In this picture he wanted me to play with his cars, but I was feeding Lydia so he had to wait. He's not too patient. All he wants to do is watch the Shrek movie. He's even asking for it by name now. He refuses to say "mommy", but will ask for Shrek. What a punk!
Saturday Rick's cousin Joe got married. It was gorgeous day for a wedding. The ceremony was outside at a gazebo. A little chilly, but very nice. The reception was a blast. Rick and I haven't been out like that in forever and we made the best of it. The kids were at home with my sister so we drank and danced all night long. Rick and his cousins acted out the Barry Manilow song "Copacabana" as part of the best man's toast. Rick sang. Too funny. I tried to get it on video with my camera, but it's so dark and then cuts off in the middle.
We got home at 1am after a quick stop at White Castle! Lydia was up at 6:30. She hasn't woken up before 7:30am in weeks. Rick and I laid in bed moaning and groaning from aches and pains from dancing. Here is where I felt very old. I literally couldn't move! My back, hips, and thighs were killing me. I had to have my coffee and some Ibuprofen before I felt alive again. We won't be going out like that again for a while!
Congratulations Jamie and Joe!!!!!!! We are so happy for you guys. You deserve all the happiness in the world.

Lydia's Baptism
Sunday Lydia was baptised at St. Simon church. It was the quickest baptism I have ever been at. Took about 10 mins. The Godparents are Rick's sister Cristi and his brother Jim. Lydia was a good girl. Didn't cry at all, but did throw up all over her pretty gown. No big shocker there! After the ceremony we had the family back to the house. It was a good time had by all. Here's some pictures of the day and a few more recent ones of the kiddos.
